TEC has saved clients money in a variety of ways.

Multifamily Property Management Company
50% of the electric accounts and 23% of the gas accounts were non-optimal.
Average savings were:
  • 12% electrical cost savings
  • 5% gas cost savings

Total savings of over $300,000 annually.
  • Domestic Hot Water Retrofits
Utilizing a utility rebate program, over-sized domestic hot water heating system recirculation pumps were retrofitted resulting in a 94% reduction in pump electrical use and 43% reduction in recirculation loop energy use with no change in services.

    Exterior Light Controls
These exterior lights were on during broad daylight. Adding controls to turn them off during the day caused no reduction in services, and saved money.

    Over-charges & Refunds
While a 2001 lighting retrofit reduced energy usage, the demand charges remained suspiciously high until they dropped drastically following a meter changeout. The rate analysis discovered this discrepancy and resulted in a refund of over $17,000 in over-charges.
